The Men’s Rights Movement is not the inverse of Feminism

A great post by Francis detailing how the Men’s Rights Movement is similar to the Women’s Rights Movement…not Feminism. Equality really is for everyone…

Francis Roy's Blog

This is a comment that I had left to an interlocutor on social media. It is, I think, I good and relatively short introduction to the difference between the Men’s Rights Movement, Feminism and why so any Men’s Rights Activists are anti-Feminist as well.

I’d like to shorten this to an elevator pitch. I welcome your feedback.

The men’s rights movement is not the inverse of Feminism. It is not “Feminism for men.” That there was once a woman’s rights movement that eventually gave way to Feminism, does not imply that men who strive for equivalent rights for men (such as gaining reproductive rights) does not mean that there is an equivalent, but sex-reversed mental framework.

A refresher. Feminism’s three phases can be simplified to this: 1. Fighting for actual rights in law. 2. Re-examining women’s roles and sense of identity relative to society. 3. Trying to re-write cultural…

  1. People are too distracted to see how they are being “played.”
Feminism was a Marxist invention to bust up the necular family.
Prior to that, the Marxist bilge used class and race divisions to topple the Western
world. Once they devised Feminism, they had an entre into the heart of the family.
Later, useless P.U.A. was invented to compensate for the hatred Feminism spawned
between the genders. It was like a corrupt “security squad” that creates the very crimes
it was hired to protect against.
Feminism to break up the family. P.U.A. to TRICK women into liking men again.
It dosen’t work. It’s like encouraging people to eat any junk they want, and trying to
sell the latest miracle cure for obesity.

  2. Ok, some questions for you then:

    1. Why do you say MRAs are “evil”? That’s a rather strong term to use in describing an entire segment of people.

    2. Even if men were not being systematically oppressed by women, they are still oppressed by certain aspects of Feminism, individual women, and society. Agree or disagree?

    3. Male on male violence is an issue, absolutely. However you’ve neglected to mention female on male violence and violence by proxy. What do you think of these issues?

I look forward to your responses!

  3. 1. Because they are violently misogynistic and don’t acknowledge their oppressiveness or male privilege.
    2. Oppressed by feminism: no. Oppressed by individual women: not if we’re just talking about a gender axis of oppression. Oppressed by society: not because they’re men. Oppression means historical and repeated dominance of one group by another: something men do to women and non-binary people.
    3. What do you mean by violence by proxy? As for female on male violence, that is a problem that goes neglected in society because of cultural narratives and gender stereotypes. But that is not the vast majority of cases of violence; it’s not a systemic problem. The lack of accountability for it is linked to a larger systemic problem.

  4. Oops, hit post too soon.
Violence by Proxy is when you get others to commit violence on your behalf, usually so that you can receive attention or reap some form of reward.

  5. The axis of oppression that is gender, as opposed to other axes of oppression.

Women just don’t have systemic power. Men face other issues, but they do. Women doing violence by proxy is not a widespread societal problem that results in the systematic oppression of men.

  6. I am hoping that missattempts will eventually get rid of his Jewish conspiracy theories. He is a loyal commenter and has very unique viewpoints, though I’m glad he has toned it down for my blog.

Captainglittertoes is new here, and has a Tumblr page that I’m currently skimming so I can see where s/he is coming from. Obviously a feminist view, but there’s more to it than just that.

  7. I am hoping that missattempts will eventually get rid of his Jewish conspiracy theories.

I wouldn’t hold out hope for this. The problem is that like many other white supremacists he believes that Jewish = masculinity. (See that blonde gynocide blog which I will not be linking to for a really good example.) Giving up the Jewish conspiracy theories isn’t as simple as simply giving up Jewish conspiracy theories. It requires a white supremacist to stop worshiping (white) women. That’s the hard part for them.

Ironically, this shows how close missattempts and captainglittertoes really are. Jews and men are interchangeable so their respective conspiracy theories are effectively the same.

  8. I think missattempts and I have spoken enough about how white women aren’t the end-all, be-all that he’s better about this now. Either that, or he’s being polite in not mentioning it anymore since I don’t condone racism on my blog.

He does still pedestalize females over males though, which is an issue…but I have high hopes for him overcoming his sexism, especially as it’s directed inward fairly often. We go over this about once a week or so…

  9. Tarnished, it just so happens that I love YOU!
    ALL my viewpoints are negotiable!
Do you think for one minute that I wouldn’t feel like the luckiest man on the face of
the earth if I had a person like you in my life? You are the most actualized person I know.
It’s also an Astrological thing. If I knew your actual time and place of birth I could
verify it. Your birth name would help too.
RE: BP. He is like the man who did the Rants Of An Incel blog. He cannot be reasoned
with. He hates women. He would rather have a robot. I CAN sympathsise with him on
some levels. I was a child of the 1960’s. The motto of that generation was “How high
    is up?”
Where we suppost to live in a Utopia by the year 2000? You betcha. Human like
Androids BETTER then the real thing.
The first eposide of the Twlight Zone, was about a convict who was put on a desolate
astorid. He was living in a state of misery, until an Astronaut mercifully left him a crate
with a female android-Just like the REAL thing. Oh, was he so happy! It was
    DELIVERANCE!
Later on, his sentence was commuted. He was delighted of course, and wanted to leave
with his “wife.” The ship had weight requirements so the perfectly human appearing
    woman had to be killed.
There was also Star Trek. Again, perfectly humanoid robots that you could have sex
with. Later, a movie came out called “West World.”
There was no reason to believe that there would NOT be a future like that.
It didn’t work out that way. There are no robots to replace women. The Japanese
have the best robots, but not the real deal. So, there will always be some people
excluded from sex. (But even handicapped people can take trips to Denmark.)
Everything ultimately comes down to the question: “Is life worth living?”
I still believe that it IS worth living for the time being, but then again, I don’t
expect to be alive in two years time. It’s not so much dying I fear, but the actual
    process.
